Let it Snow!

 So Adalyn got to experience her 2nd snow of this year! This one was much better than her 1st one though! We got between 6-8 inches of snow! It was so pretty and looks like it will be here for a couple more days. You'll see in the pictures that Adalyn did NOT like being out in the snow while it was snowing but the next day when it was done she loved it!

To end on another note... Adalyn started saying "Da Da" yesterday! For the past couple months she has smiled and laughed at us saying Da Da to her and now we're smiling and laughing at her saying it to us. Its so cute! She has her Daddy wrapped around her finger already!

Happy 8 Months Adalyn!

Somehow our sweet Adalyn is 8 months old already!! Well she is now 8 months and 3 days old. I took her to the doctor yesterday because she's been pulling at her ears constantly but Dr. Scott said they look great and she's doing great as well! She weighs 19lb 9oz! He said her top gums are swollen so she'll be getting her top teeth some time in the near future. Here are some pictures from her 8 month birthday!

Where have the past 6 months gone??

So I am way behind on blogging but I have finally decided to start again. I have lots of catching up to do though! I'll start with the birth of our beautiful baby girl, Adalyn Grace, who was born on May 26, 2009 at 9:29pm. She was 7lbs 12oz. and 19.5 inches long! And 2 weeks early! She has changed our lives forever and we are so thankful that God has blessed us with her! I love being a Mommy! And Skip is such a great Daddy! She has him wrapped around her fingers already! Here are some pictures from the most amazing day of our lives!

Adalyn was 6 months old on Thanksgiving which was such a wonderful day with family and friends.

growing belly....

We're almost 29 wks and I'm definitely starting to feel that I'm in my third trimester. And I'm noticing little adjustments I'm having to make to accommodate for my growing belly... I can't just get out of bed, I have to roll over and scoot to the side and then get out =) I have to prop my feet up on a chair to tie my shoes rather than just bending over! I found out last Tuesday that I have gestational diabetes which = no fun :( I've had to make major diet modifications and I'm trying to get exercise in daily but thats definitely been the hardest part so far. I'm having to check my blood sugar 4 times a day which hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be but definitely not something I would wish on anyone. I go back to the dr tuesday so we'll see if he thinks my diet is doing enough to control my sugar.. hopefully I won't have to be put on any insulin (My Aunt does everytime she's pregnant). I hope you all enjoy the new pictures! And the really cute shirt is Aimee's! She has let me borrow her maternity clothes which I cannot thank her enough for!

As you can see, Me and Maci had a blast! Skip and I are so very proud of our little niece! She's growing so fast though! Me and Maci had a little cooing contest, which is what she's doing in the 1st picture- I'm sure you can guess who won! She looks just like Lia in the 3rd one- so pretty!
